Like other Gacha games, certain dungeons are only available on certain days. After the 9th day, it shifts to every other day… then continues to pace out to every three days and every four days as you finally end up with the cap being 70 in November. I’ve found a list indicating how far you can progress each day. In practice, however, it feels really weird to log in and get a few levels before effectively hitting the cap again. In theory, this is to help players from falling too far behind the pack and also slow down the process of burning through the game. One of the weird things about the way that Tower of Fantasy has rolled out is that you are rationed a certain amount of content every day. Once again there are guides starting to pop up explaining how to get these. It turns out that a number of these mounts can be obtained through hidden quests that involve turning in specific items to specific NPCs in order to get components. One of the things that set Tower of Fantasy apart from its primary competition Genshin Impact is in the inclusion of mounts. In order to make this a little easier, there are a number of guides that cover all of the ingredients needed for recipes that you can learn. Get the combination wrong and you end up with “awful stew”. The problem is that in order to learn them you have to guess at the materials. The game starts you out with a selection of recipes that you can make from common components, but there are way more available. Like many gacha games, there are often codes that you can input into the game in order to get free stuff. Leveling up your favor with a Simulacrum unlocks some permanent benefits that carry over to your character as well as some cosmetic things like avatars. If you have encountered one of these systems before you will know that each character prefers certain items, and as such, it is helpful to have a guide to allow you to get the most bang for your buck. There are a lot of things that are relatively straightforward in Tower of Fantasy, but the way that the gifting system works is not necessarily one of them. Unfortunately, none of the regular multi-game map providers like MapGenie seem to be supporting this game yet but I did find a reasonable option in the meantime. One of the things that I find extremely helpful in an overworld exploration game, is a map that helps you find the various resources and where they can be gathered. The game tools then are an easy way of not only compiling links that I find useful but also sharing them with my readers. This is great until I shift games and immediately seem to blow everything that I once knew… out of my brain. At some point, I completely stopped using bookmarks, and as a result, I tend to just type in the sites that I am trying to reach. The idea behind the game tools section of Tales of the Aggronaut is to have a simple way of compiling links and resources that are personally useful to me.
